I woke up this morning and realised that I was missing something. I was missing my cold. It had left me. I woke up and my head felt light again. My eyes did not itch and I could breathe!! It had really left me!! Yesterday , I’m happy to say, that I took my own advice and chilled out. I didn’t go to the gym. I didn’t run myself ragged as I would usually have done. The fact that I felt a little bit better yesterday, didn’t mean that I was well. So relax and stay home is what I did.
I got plenty of rest yesterday. All I did was write and work on my website. I did not leave my apartment. It was difficult for me to fight the urge to leave my apartment to either go to the gym or run errands. I hung out with Gary, my dog, all day. The daily recommended dosage of DayQuil was two tablets every 4 hours and I stuck to it. I took DayQuil all day yesterday and I took NyQuil at night. I also drank plenty of Grape juice which my brother, Chudi, told me was a wonder remedy for colds.
It all worked. Plenty of rest, a whole lot of Vitamin C and a combo of DayQuil and NyQuil, did the trick. I also think that the fact that I only take meds when they are absolutely necessary, made them very potent. I can breathe out of both nostrils!! Breathing is such a luxury that we take for granted. We only realise how important it is when we are on verge of losing it.
