No he should not get his job back. he took a job to serve and protect. he has no right to be his own judge, jury, executioner. no he need not be a law enforcement officer. just has the name states, LAW ENFORCEMENT OFFICER.

He didn’t even act concerned after kicking the girl. He needs a different type of a job where he is not near others.

She clearly assaulted him so i think she deserved a kick!!!
If you watch the footage you will notice that the kick was a reflexive response. There are precedents of people who were NOT reprimanded for executing a similar response. After reviewing the footage without an emotional judgement I pray that the powers that be will decide that the response was appropriate.
Unfortunately, the general public does not have the same empathy for officers who are trained to defend themselves immediately when they sense danger or are physically attacked as this officer clearly was. This officer was clearly assaulted and simply reacted in a fashion that is congruent with the training that all law enforcement officers receive all over the world.
This officer reacted reflexively and in a completely appropriate manner in my opinion. I am basing my opinion as someone who has been in this man’s shoes and not reacted that way because I don’t have formal training in martial arts. If I had that kind of training I would have done the exact same thing.
Rather than judging based on our own personal bias, we should judge this behavior in light of the way our law enforcement system is designed. If this man loses his job, law enforcement officers all over the world stand lose one more piece of legitimate authority.
God bless this officer. The woman got just what she deserved for assaulting an officer.

“the way you judge, you will be judged; and by your standard of measure, it will be measured to you.”
At least watch the footage again before you make a decision to pass judgement.

I think he shoul go to jail. And get fired and not let back.. I would of pressed charges on his ass.
This officer should be locked up for a very long time, there is no excuse for taking the law into your own hands. The court will decide if she is guilty of anything when she stands trial. He is a violent human being, and has probably broken more laws than the girl, what is happening in our society. How are we supposed to respect the law when they are constantly letting us down. The government must intervene before society breaks down altogether. I am so angry about this. He should be punished and never practice police work again.
Too many Cops have been killed by a handcuffed felon. Look at the entire picture before you pass judgement. Police are trained to react swiftly and with violence when attacked to retain control of their weapon. She kicked him and he reacted with a simple semi-contact “flip-kick” to get her attention. Note his knee is always bent, his leg was never fully extended to deliver a knock out roundhouse kick. I say good restraint was used by this officer with his split-second reaction.

One picture is not enough to tell the whole story. If she did something to provoke him, she deserved it. Now when I say provoked, I don’t mean cursing or being rude, but kicking him first. Of course, kicking her in the side of the face was too much, we can’t just put all the blame on one party when we don’t know the whole story. Depending on what she did to him should determine whether or not he deserves to lose his job, or even get jail time.
Krawetz is a violent felon and his action here is just one of the reasons why I have no respect for police. It is obvious by his action after he forcefully kicks the poor woman in the head that he had done that kind of thing dozens (probably hundreds of times) before. He immediately went back to what he was doing and he had no sense of a threat to himself. Just another punk cop picking on citizens.

Obviously, this woman SHOULD NOT have been behaving the way she was OR kicked the officer first, but SHE ABSOLUTELY DID NOT DESERVE TO BE KICKED IN RETURN! These officers do deal with a bunch of crap constantly, but that does in no way give them the right to assault defenseless people! They are supposed to be trained to deal with these situations daily! What do we have a justice system for? It is certainly not perfect by any means, but that also does not give police officers the right to give their own form of punishment. This woman deserved a trip to jail, but she was SEATED AND BAREFOOT- how much “danger” could this officer really have felt he was in, on top of the fact that he was accompanied by other trained officers? This is an example of unwarranted police brutality and this guy does not deserve his job. He gives good police officers a bad name.
