I landed in Laguardia airport in NYC a few minutes ago. I had all kinds of mixed feelings as I embarked on my journey back to the States. I didn’t want to leave Nigeria because I was so happy to be home, I had been away for so long. I missed the food, the people, the weather. It’s so cold here in New York!! All that mad me sad to leave, not to mention all the love and support I was given. I miss Nigeria. I have to say that the traffic from the aiport to my apartment wasn’t as heavy as that from the aiport in Lagos, but as crazy as it sounds, I even miss the traffic in Nigeria. I miss the street sales guys. I miss the little people selling their Nollywood DVDs. Their hustle strengthened my resolve to hustle even harder.

Unfortunately, reality has to kick in and I have to go back to real life. Nigeria was such a great break from the hustle and bustle, but I have to get back and work even harder than I did before I went to Nigeria. I have so much work to do in order to ensure that The Champion Spirit Foundation becomes a household name and lives forever.

I also have to begin work on editing the nearly 50 hours of video footage from Nigeria. The great thing is that we did get some amazing footage, the challenge is editing it all down. That will be a lot of work, but a lot of fun as well. Stay tuned for much more video and pictures from my trip home.
