Several people have opinions regarding blogging. Many people feel that baring oneself is dangerous. Many of them feel that me writing such a blog is sharing too much. They say that I should not share such private information. There truly are several schools of thought regarding sharing experiences, thoughts and feelings with potentially millions of people.
I believe that energy is meant to be shared. We should not and must not hoard our energy. We are all put on earth with a gift. We must affect the world with our gift: Our energy. We have to leave a legacy, our mark on this earth. I must note here that having a bunch of children is not a legacy. Ogbogu’s gift was his fearless charm and love for having a great time. He touched several people’s lives and had countless friends. My gift is to motivate and inspire people to be the best that they can be. I do that by tirelessly leading with example. You have to always be ready to back everything you do with action. You cannot be afraid to act.
A childhood friend read one of my bolgs and said “Are you sure you want people to read? It is really private”. I understood how he felt. He told me that he is a very good writer, but is not ready to share his writting with the world. He was worried that people will steal his ideas and he would have no way to control it. I understand how much it would hurt to create something and have someone steal it from you. At the same time, I belive that we have to take that chance. Energy is cyclical and must be shared. Some days, we wake up, not feeling our best. We then read somebody’s story, article or blog and it picks up and it energizes us. For this reason, we must share.
What are your thoughts on this?

Obviously im a blogger so i say Blog On!!! lol. but really, i think blogging is very subjective. you share what you want to share in a way that makes sense to you as an individual. I blog about all kinds of things. Likewise there are things that will only make their way to my actual diary. And still there are things that i would never say, write, or share in any way. I mean, is it by force? You don’t have to share what you don’t want to and really as long as you’re not sharing things that will make you a target for some foul play i don’t see any issue.
I am also a blogger and designer and I believe we need to share what we’ve got. That’s not to say that you should share enough details to get you into trouble ( e.g identity theft and so on) . Like Lady Ngo said, it is subjective and I believe you should share what you feel very comfortable with.
Besides, a blog is not cast in stone so if you feel that it needs to be adjusted or pulled, its easy to do so.
The beautiful thing about blogging is that it can be both therapeutic and is also an investment – You never know where it will lead you – both personally and professionally.
I’m personally not worried about people copying me – plenty more where it came from.
So Nna, blog on.. and develop your craft.
